The Class of 1951 Scholarship

Recipient: Kirsten Elliott

Kirsten Elliott

“I am extremely grateful upon receiving the Class of 1951 Scholarship. Not only is the scholarship helpful to me in furthering my education, but it is also extremely meaningful as both my grandfather and grandmother were graduates of the Class of 1951. This award made a difference in my choice of school and will definitely help me to purse my aspirations and goals as a student. I appreciate the generosity of the Class of 1951 for helping to make my career at the University of Maine possible.”

Kirsten Elliot graduated from Holliston High School in Massachusetts and is currently a first year student majoring in Elementary Education.

The Class of 1951 Scholarship Fund was established at the University of Maine Foundation in 1961 with gifts from the members of the Class of 1951 to provide scholarship aid for students attending the University of Maine.
