Spring Swing Through Florida

Amos Orcutt '64, President of the University of Maine Foundation and Dana Humphrey, Dean of the College of Engineering, hosted five "Spring Swing" events in Florida during March.  Amos also met with several alums in between events. The Swing events began in Tampa/St. Petersburg on March 6 hosted by Paul '59 and Nan '55 Desmond at the Wine Cellar Restaurant in North Redington Beach.

John '68 and Lyndy '81 Rohman hosted the Sarasota event at the Polo Grill in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on March 8. John is the President of the University of Maine Alumni Association Board and Lyndy is Senior Development Officer for the University of Maine. On Sunday, March 9, the Honorable William Treat '40 and his wife Vivian hosted University of Maine alumni for a brunch buffet at The Club Pelican Bay in Naples.

Leith '59 and Donna Wadleigh, owners of Governor's Restaurants and know affectionately as "The Gov & First Lady," hosted the Boca Raton/Delray Beach Alumni at the Sea Gate Towers in Delray Beach on March 11.

The last event was hosted by Dick and Betty Brockway Nevers '56 with a picnic and barbeque at Pepper Park in Vero Beach.

Dick and Betty are sporting barbeque aprons,a gift from the University of Maine Foundation.
