The University of Maine Foundation is honored to be a steward for endowed gifts that shape the future of the University and its students. The Foundation experienced an exceptional year in both areas of fundraising and investment performance.

The General Endowment Fund reported an annual return of 17.4% for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007. This result was complemented by the generous support of our donors with 2,408 gifts and bequests totaling $25.9 million. Equally important is our distributions to the University of Maine that provided $6.5 million in endowment earnings in much needed and appreciated private support for our flagship university.
